Since opening in 1991, The Glades has proved an excellent example of a mixed-use development and now forms the major part of Bromley's shopping offer. Linking to the High Street, the centre plays an integral role in the town's pedestrian flow pattern. In 2008, the southern end of the scheme was remodelled and extended to deliver an additional 50,600 sq ft of prime retail space.
